TUTICORIN SSA BRANCH
HELD ON 8/7/2014 AT
TUTICORIN.
The District
conference under the Presidentship of Com. M. Jeevanandaham commenced after
Com. K. Muthialu, Circle President and Com. V. Rama Rao Circle secretary
hoisted the National Flag and our Association Flag respectively. Out of
210 members ( Life 118 and Annual 92) about 120 members were
present in which more than 25 women pensioners participated and remained till last.

Coms. V. Govindarajan
( CGPA), Balasubramanian & Balakannan ( NFTE), Saravaran ( AIBSNLEA)
, Sri. Md Labbai, DGM ( CA) and also Nodal officer, Tutiticorin SSA
Extended their
greetings on the occasion. Cicrle Offce Bearers Com. E. Kanakaraj, M.
Ambigapathi spoke about 7th CPC –BSNL pensioner, Pension anomaly case
respectively. Com. S. Arunachalam, District Secretary, Tirunelvely,
mentioned about pay anomaly ( First Pay revision ) case which was filed by
Tuticorin comrades and won has be taken up with DoT level for approval of
the BSNL proposal as settlement of pay anomaly. He said the 4th Circle Conference is being held at Tirunelveli
and requested maximum number of members to at tends the conference and make it
success. Many ordinary members have given donation ranging from Rs. 500
to 2000 for this conference which is very appreciable.
V. Rama Rao Circle
Secrtary said we have about 7000 members and 18 SSA and latest being Erode.
Tamilnadu Circle is top in having 2030 Life membership. He appealed all to
become life members as per target of 1 lakh members , announced in Jaipur
AIC. We have opened website www.aibsnlpwatn.blogspost.in and issue of identy cards to our
members is in progress.
He appreciated Com. M.
Barnabas D/S, and other office-bearers for responding quick and first SSA to
approach the Member of Parliament who has agreed to recommend our case 78.2
with DoT. As per the CHQ call Tirunelvei, Kumbakonam, Salem, Madurai,
Chennai Telephone Circle have approached their MPs and the Circle Assn thank
them, In Chennai our General Secretary and Circle Secretary TN and
Chennai Telephones met Sri. V. Maitreyan, M.P. and leader
Rajyasabha AIADMK who said he will take up the just demand. In
respect of the Circle Association call to send Saving gram/Post Card campaign
should be expedited well by10.7.2014. Now Dr. Janaki, GM Postal Accounts has been posted as
CCA TN and holding additional charge. When our circle president
and c/s met the cca told that ADALAT IS LIKELY TO BE HELD BETWEEN
18TH AUGUST
AND 22ND AUGUST
2014 AT CHENNAI but cautioned wait for the press notification for sending the
subjects etc.
Com. K. Muthialu, President spoke in detail about the 7th CPC and our efforts to include in the pension revision. He said our representatives were present in the BCPC meeting held on 14.6.14 at Chennai in which Com. S.K. Vyas was present. It is a matter of pride that our ALL India Association only prepared a Memorandum for submission to 7th CPC demanding inclusion of BSNL pensioner in IDA for revision of pension as applicable to CGE pensioners under Rule 37 and Rule 37A as amended and made applicable to BSNL Pensioners also. He said all most all the benefits that are extended to CG pensioners were being given to BSNL pensioners also. Hence we have got justification for inclusion in the 7th CPC. And hope we will present our case if called for oral evidence etc. He appealed all members to contribute for Patrika and also become life member if not done.
