IT IS NOW UNDERSTOOD THAT DEPARTMENT OF EXPENDITURE, IN THEIR LETTER,
HAS DIRECTED TELECOM DEPTT. TO TAKE FRESH CABINET APPROVAL
FOR EXTENDING THE BENEFIT OF 78.2% IDA TO THE BSNL PENSIONERS,
RETIRED BEFORE 1-1-2007 AND AFTER 1-1-2007, BOTH.
THE LETTER MAY REACH DOT TODAY AFTERNOON....... CHHIDU SINGH, NEW DELHI

It is understood that the Department of Expenditure has, finally, disposed the case.
The letter addressed to Telecom Department was signed
by the Under Secretary in DoE yesterday.
The contents are not known at present. We are waiting for the details.
