100th birthday of Former Supreme Court judge V.R. Krishna Iyer
Former Supreme Court
judge V.R. Krishna Iyer at his 100th birthday celebrations organised by the
People’s Council for Social Justice in Kochi on Saturday, 9th November 2014.
According to the Malayalam calendedr, his 100th birthday falls on 14th
November.
Ailments could not dampen the spirit of former Supreme Court
judge V.R. Krishna Iyer as he joined his well-wishers to cut a cake here on
Saturday on the occasion of his 100 birthday celebrations. People from
various walks of life recalled Mr. Iyer’s multi-faceted roles as an eminent
jurist, legislator, and a human rights crusader, at the event organised by the
People’s Council for Social Justice (PCSJ) at T.D.M. Hall.
Even though Mr. Iyer did not deliver a speech owing to his
health conditions, he thanked all the people for their continuing love, care
and affection. N.R. Madhava Menon, eminent legal educationist and
Chancellor of Ghanidas Univberisty in Chhattisgarh, delivered the keynote
address.

respectful greetings to Shri V R Krishna Iyer, the world renowned jurist
of India who delivered a number of landmark judgements during his tenure as
High Court Judge and Supreme Court Judge in India.
