Chennai Traffic  District Conference on  9/7/2016 at BEFI HALL TEYNAMPET.


COM. R. RANGANATHAN President Welcomed all. P. Sathyanarayanan Secretary read the Annual report and  NBS  Mani Treasurer submitted the Accounts.  



V, Rama Rao Circle Secretary  and All India Asst. Treasurer while inagurating the District Conference  said entire BSNL pensioners are very happy about the 78.2 issue settlement and it is our Association leaders like Com PSR, DG, GN, KM, Gangadhar Rao Chenngappa R L Kapoor, and Delhi Comrades  who have toiled for the success. This is our second victory first being revision of pension for pre-2006 retirees. He explained about the role of  Karnataka Comrades and the  help rendered by the Hon.Central Minister Shri. Ananthakumar who intervned at every stage where ther was bottleneck and ensured cabinet clearance. our Association
shall keep his name in golden colours. The third Victory will  be in few months time when the CAT verdict would come in favour of  4500 bsnl pensioners in the Pension anomoly case.  He said we propose to invite Hon. Minister Shri. Ananthakumar to our Coimbatore Circle conference due  on 23 and 24th of August 2016. He said total membeership in Tamilnadu we are nearing 10,500  and Madurai accouting for 1500 and Tirunelveli over 800 members.It is because of strong base 

Com K. Muthiyalu, Circle President and All India Org. Secretary appreciated in bringing out the Annual Report short and sharp. Members opinion is supreme and we are guidied by them. He felt this branch shoud give  more donation on the achievement of 78.2 issue he said we have convinced Mr. Garg Secretary DoT but he was replaced by New Secretary who raised the issue of MTNL and there was delay. On our  request Shri. Anananthakumar, Hon. centr4al Minister intervened and sent to cabinet.  We are very glad that the issue of 60:40 has been permanently settled and and our Leadership took the  correct line right from the begining.  He referred about 7th CPC and after Govt. negotiations with the  Central Govt Unions the General Strike Was postponed to 4 months and we expect some improvement. 
Com. D.G All India Vice President said the 78.2 issue stands settled today and all our members are doubly happy. In return he made a request to all the members that every member of ours should try to enlist more members especially those ordinary members who would have joined other association without knowing. It is our members duty to explain to them the stepes taken by our All India Association without wavering and clear in our demand and stood by them and tremendrous efforts made with the help of Shri. Ananthakumar,  Hon.  Union Cabinet Minister   through  our Karnataka Comrades.  


He also said we are processing cases who  are eligible to get full pension  for pre-2006 retirees, who  were given pension earlier on pro-rata basis. 
Com T S vittobahan  CHQ Treasurer appreciated the efforts taken kby our Association for realisation of 78.2 issue inspite of several hurdles which could only delay but not deny. today it is proved that 78.2 benefit has come to your hands.

Com G Natarajan GS explained in detail the stepes taken right from the begining and the help  rendered by comrades of Karanata in approaching Hon. Minister for Fertilizer Shri. Ananthakumar. This association is very much indebted to him in realisation of the 78.2 demand. It is a History byitself. He app-reciated the strong jsupport extende by our members through the lenght and breadth of the country and  also implemented our call  for struggle . It is all now ended in a happy note.  He aplpealed that every member should bring in  more members  and that is what the CHQ requests.

Com. Leo Francis, TMS Raghavan and Annamalai spoke and appreciated that our Association only toiled for 78.2 and we are gllad that we are beneficiaries today  and  more hope that all our other pending issues like Pension Anomoly etc. would be settled. Our Leaders sincere approach to the problems is the key to success.
