ANDHRA CIRCLE CONFERENCE
The AP Circle Conference of AIBSNLPWA was held at Visakhapatnam on 14th September, 2014.
It was a well- organized, well-disciplined, well-attended conference.
Presence of more than 450 delegates from all branches in AP reflected the steady, impressive and commendable growth
of our Association in Andhra during the last three years.
Sri M R S Prakasa Rao presided over the conference.
The proceedings commenced with hoisting of National Flag by Senior Comrade Mallisetty Janardhana Rao
and Association flag by Com. P S Ramankutty.
Shri Srimmannarayan, District President welcomed all.
Addressing the delegates Com. Ramankutty spoke in detail on our approach towards the seventh Central Pay Commission.
Com. Natarajan (GS) spoke on 78.2% benefit, Pension Anomaly case, Call Attention Day on 19th September
and organizational task.
Com. V V S Murthy, senior comrade from Vijayawada also addressed the gathering.
In the afternoon, an Open session was held which was addressed by the principal GM, BSNL, Visakapathanam
and Com. S P Sarma, leader of SBI employees as well as our President and General Secretary.
Com. M Govindarajan, Circle Secretary, Chennai TD Circle attended the conference and greeted the delegates.

Union Cabinet Approved 7% DA hike from July 2014
Release of additional installment of Dearness Allowance
to Central Government employees and
Dearness Relief to pensioners due from 01.07.2014
Cabinet approved 7% DA from July 2014
The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today gave its approval for the release of an additional installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners with effect from 01.07.2014. This is an increase of seven percent over the existing rate of 100 percent of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise.

Today, the SCOVA meeting was held. Com. R L Kapoor, our Legal Committee member attended it.
The item of 78.2% came up for discussion. Director from the Department of Expenditure assured
in the SCOVA meeting that:
"WITHIN A WEEK, D.O.E. WILL CONVEY ITS DECISION
TO THE TELECOM DEPARTMENT."

Despite our efforts the files are moving at snails pace.
The DOE is yet to return the file to DOT though four weeks are over.
We have to build up the pressure.
The CHQ has decided to call upon our Circles and Branches to
Hold Demonstrations on 19-9-14 and send SAVING GRAMS To the Hon.Minister of MOC&IT
requesting him to intervene.
Please hold Demonstrations with maximum mobilization.
