HONOURABLE MINISTER FOR COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MINISTER FOR LAW AND JUSTICE SRI RAVI SHANKAR PRASAD AT MADURAI DURING HIS VIST TO MADURAI AND SUBMITTED A MEMORANDUM
REQUESTING HIS INTERVENTION IN SETTLING OUR LONG PENDING DEMANDS.

- 78.2% IDA MERGER
- CONSIDERING BSNL PENSIONERS AS CENTRAL GOVT PENSIONERS AND EXTENDING THE BENEFITS OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE 7th CPC TO THEM.
The Hon. Minister gave a patient hearing for about five minutes and also assured to do his best in settling our just demands.
FOLLOWING ISSUES WERE RAISED IN THE MEMORANDUM:
78.2% IDA MERGER; It was informed that the Minister had already approved the Draft Cabinet Note. Now, the final Cabinet Note has to be submitted to the Cabinet Secretariat for including the item in the agenda for Cabinet Meeting. There is no problem in the case. Minister assured that it would be expedited.
FUTURE PENSION REVISION WITH THE FITMENT FORMULA SUGGESTED BY CPC: The Minister assured that he would look into the matter and discuss the matter with the concerned officers.
